My wife is angry because the kitchen is alway dirty. She says it's because I'm at work all day and she has to do it all by herself, which increases her mental load.

She just can't fit everything she uses for cooking into the dishwasher, so it has to sit outside until I come home in the evening. Because I work all day, she has to be at home with a dirty kitchen, which is unfair to her, because I get to sit in a tidy office instead. This is sexist, and I really need to better. The princess treatment is the bare minimum!

The dishwasher we bought last year is just not good enough, I need to stop being a sexist dude-bro and get her a V-ZUG xxl-machine.

Well, it's been a while. Doing that dogshit gig. Well it was bad but then I realised my boss is an idiot so I don't really have to apply myself so it's sorta okay.
Almost had a mental break before the realisation hit me but I managed to avoid it smoothly.

Otherwise I feel like I've been in excellent health. Also managed to re-start running without having my leg hurt so that's great.

Generally I've been just reading stuff, working on smaller projects and also meeting with friends.
Also helped out with some book stuff. A footnote or two and some basic Chinese trasnscriptions.

You're a smarter man than I. Recognize the situation and adapt your effort and commitment. I keep working to impress these people only to see them replaced and the cycle start anew. Just adds pointless stress to my life.

Going through old bookmarks. Can't remember why I saved them originally, probably something interesting to read for later.
Yet... that later never came. And those links are dead now, gone forever, and the desire to check whether they have just moved or are gone for good is just not there.
Priorities change. Interests shift. An opportunity to learn, missed, but others are to come.

what's the longest you've ever gone without smelling your own farts? Five minutes?

 No.25136 KONTRA

Oh wow I forgot to send yesterday's post. Well, anyway.
Did cleaning today. Vacuumed, changed bedsheets, viped the table and so on.
Got groceries.

Went for a run. It was really fucking hot but I somehow managed it. Also I don't know what changed, but me not running before, during and after the China trip for a while probably allowed my knee to rest enough so that it no longer "flares up" after I run. Which is great.

Yesterday I finished the Persona 3 expansion which I've been sorta "putting off" for a few months.

I honestly feel like the entire job is essentially just an appendix that will eventually burst somehow but it keeps some people occupied at the company (midwit "marketing expert" team lead) so they just do it even though there is no realistic way to measure if this is actually driving sales or not. (Me sending out spam calls and emails.)

But hey, I will have some leftover cash for the fall semester and I can finally fix up the PC so I can play more video games that make me angry with my friends.

I quite enjoy the spam emails I get from a Hungarian software vendor. They usually are immensely elaborate versions of 'NAV will be on holiday on August 1st' or 'buy ten thousand E-invoices, now 10 Ft cheaper'. I'm betting on 'happy St. Stephen's day' in 1.5 weeks. (Yep, summer almost over.)

If your Emails are like that, they probably won't do anything to increase sales, but they offer the possibility to sneak in a break pretending to read an important email, could be announcing important update, must study in detail, which increases customer satisfaction.

It's like 40 degrees. I went out to read some but in the end I think I napped more than I read. Still, made some progress.
Same with my latest translation project. I think I found a good metric to actually measure progress and I think this frame of reference will help a lot with work in the future.

I have a youtube account, but I rarely use it or log in.
Usually I look up something quickly, so I use the "public" youtube that has no starting page recommendations anymore.
However, anytime I watch something that isn't necessarily a song, I get a glimpse of the youtube most people use daily, and it's a grim vista. I really want to hurt the people producing that kind of clickbait ragebait retardbait shit, and the people who watch it, and I am grateful for having places like this to take refuge.
When imageboards die, I will probably leave the non-job side of the internet for good.

Why do some people get angry when someone steals from a supermarket? Are they stupid and think it's their supermarket? I'm stealing from the capitalists, which is good. But people are too stupid to get it, in particular Germans. Germans are the dumbest people in the world they have no class consciousness. Everyone should steal from the capitalists! Capitalism thrives because dumb sheeple pay instead of stealing!

It is lazy and overpaid. They sit on their asses all day and do nothing. Get together with a few other workers and complain to management about the lazy and useless IT-guy until the disgusting techbro-shitlord is fired. Works best if you can get some female workers to tell on him for creeping on them. We're talking about a white techbro shitlord, so of course he creeped on them. I fucking hate those pseudo-smart know-it-all idiots.

I actually got a brand new laptop.
It actually blew my mind at one point, because I was wondering why some installer windows (I have to set it up entirely on my own) were blurry.
Then I realized it had set the standard scaling to 150%.
Then I realized it's a 4:3 screen with some 2k resolution. After setting scaling to 100% everything was suddenly very tiny, but I think I can work with that.
That said, upon first booting up I spent a good 4 hours until all the bullshit updates and whatnot had been done, with numerous reboots and all.
And it's amazing how they have managed to make the originally relaxing and exciting process of installing software into an annoying chore.

>That said, upon first booting up I spent a good 4 hours until all the bullshit updates and whatnot had been done, with numerous reboots and all.
If the overpaid tech-bros were actually doing their jobs, you wouldn't have to do this and everything would auto-install. But they don't do their job and still think they are somehow smart and important and hard-working. The overconfidence of middle-aged white men is so disgusting!

Why do some people get angry when you drop some litter at railway station? How arrogant are they? Do they think it is their railway station? Do they think they are everyone's parents and get to educate everyone?
I dropped some candy wrapper and some emma-luise looking whore went all ballistic at me. I told her to shut her mouth cunt because it's not her railway station, so it's none of her business, but she kept going on about 'insolence' and 'sexism' I just told her to fuck off and have her the finger, then I put my earphones in and ignored her, she could do nothing. ICE, our office of immigration enforcement, have stepped up their deportation raids. It's a big Trump thing. Lots of press, good or bad depending on the network. Protests, etc. It's largely political theater. Anyway, it seems they are still actively recruiting. Ad spotted on a comic book forum.

Not sure if I'm going to finish this Green Lantern run. Story is decent, but the dialogue is terrible. Definitly not signing up for ICE. My job sucks these days, but I'm not that desperate for a new one.

So, are they *actually* doing something or is just the usual "we are totally doing something, just look how much we are doing" window dressing? Like, grab a handful of people of the wrong shade, deport them, while the actual illegals doing the badly paid jobs stay?

 No.25325

>>25324
>are they *actually* doing something or is just the usual
They are definitely doing something. Arrests and deportations are up, as are the number of people held in immigration detention centers. With the increased enforcement, border crossings are also down. So, while Trump is not doing nothing, this incremental increase in deportations pales in comparison to the number of illegal immigrants in the country. 14 million. Against that figure, removing 400,000 per year instead of the average 300,000 amounts to little more than harrassment of the guy washing dishes at Denny's.
Of course both political parties get to fire up their base over the optics of ICE tackling people on the street while nothing changes except for the people caught in the crossfire.

Having major anxiety attacks now that vacation time is coming to an end. Maybe it's the quarter-life crisis kicking in, but I find myself regretting just about every decision I've made since the age of 10. Wasting too much time on the internet, not using the opportunities that I had, picking a meme degree in university and so on.

The passage of time bothers me so much that nowadays I can't even go to bed at a reasonable hour (before 3 am that is). Almans go all turbo-Jochen as soon as some one throws something insignificant anywhere or unloads some half washing machine and a little trash in a forest. But they have no problem wearing shoes in their own home or in other people's homes! Why are Almans so stupid and dirty? I swear they eat dirty animals and they are dirty. German food is garbage. No one wants to eat German food! German language sounds like the language of pigs!
