The thing with qualified labor is that they can underpay you and you'll still prefer to work here than to switch to another place and spend efforts for learning their job-specific things. On the other hand you can under-perform and they'll still prefer to keep you rather than wait half a year when a new guy (maybe) learns anything and will outperform you.
Since it's long-term relationships, it's better for both parties to act nice and honest, pay well and work well, but it doesn't always happen.
With tradies it's simpler, quit whenever you want, fire whoever you want.

Yesterday was fucking fantastic. I worked, then I translated some and then I went for a run and my leg didn't hurt at all, and then I took a hot as fuck shower and read a lot before bed.
Literally a perfect day basically.

And I'm going to repeat it again sans running so I don't accidentally fuck up my leg. Gotta have time to recover.
Coffee time.

 No.24728

Each time I try to get a hold of my life, I seem to lack the energy to do so. Each time I fall back into slumber without managing to achieve most of what I wanted. And it’s been like this for as long as I can remember, never achieving anything, never trying my best, never reaching close to my desires.
And I always hope that this time is going to different, that I may actually transform into something new. BUT IT NEVER HAPPENS.

Well said. And as much as I hate my job at the moment, I have built up a lot of goodwill over the years. If I slack on some things, they let it slide. Just not the new guy on top. Gotta take those calls.

Same. Does decaf count? I work tomorrow and have to get up early.

I recently went out to fetch food to go from a restaurant, and despite the hot temperatures that day I changed from my sandals to my regular shoes, because I wasn't sure if it was rude to show feet in a restaurant. It was an asian restaurant, and they are always super polite, so that was another reason to make an effort not to be rude, even if the possibility was low.

Just watched some army guy talk about civil war era cannons. Very interesting, and the way he talks and moves his hands is cute and adorable.

Overall another productive day. I ended up cataloguing all the books that arrived on Friday and translating some stuff.
Also played some games with friends online.
Had a good lunch too.

Last night I drank some wine and it was really good. Didn't get drunk but the wine tasted really good.
Helped mom set up the pool again. Dad got a brand new filtration system for it and it was kind of nice if a bit filled with hubris to flick the switch on as I'm listening to Wagner in the garden.

Things really do feel fine right now, I guess.

I'd say it counts. Though I 100% enjoy the caffeine part of it the most, not just the taste. (When I manage to get a cup just right anyway.)
A friend told me a few days ago that he's immensely jealous that "Coffee works for me" and that "I enjoy it".
(I mean, for some reason I get really into it sometimes. When I'm in a sort of manic phase it sort of makes me euphoric.)

Schieszl in Budakalasz has some excellent wines, but when you are not a regular buying by the hektoliter, there is a chance they'll push the stuff on you they don't want to sell to their best customers. (It has to go somewhere...)

Trump's signature tax and spending bill recently passed both houses of Congress and was signed into law. Long term, the Federal deficit will increase. Which is bad. Short term, based on included tax provisions, I stand to gain $1-2K a year.
Which is good. Kinda conflicted.

They eat pig, it make their skin has color of pig and they all have pig worm! Put pig meat in coca cola, the worms come out, I swear to Allah, it is truth! Muslims are scum, you are scum. Muslims are parasites, you are a parasite. Islam is a religion of goat-herders, inherently linked to cultures of honor, unfit for the rule of law, and, consequentially, civilization. Muslims are not fit to interact with civilized society. They need to be removed, by whatever means necessary. You need to be removed, by whatever means necessary. I can not legally say what I would like to say about you and those people, using the term 'people' in the vagest sense possible. I hope you get what you deserve. I have little doubt that this will happen. Unfortunately, it will also happen to me: I will also get what you deserve, as a byproduct of the largely unopposed Muslim invasion and the utter destruction of Europe. Read the camp of the Saints.

I can easily travel to one other Country, and it's basically just America, but cleaner. Mexico is further, and a different story. It is impossible to cross that line on the map and not know it. Language, law enforcement, shops, food. All different.

Does Ernst notice a distinct difference when crossing into neighboring nations?

it's all anglo puppet states or pseudo-Russia, anyway. Some are both. Norway: anglo puppet. Poland: pseudo-Russia and anglo puppet.. Belarus: pseudo Russia. Czechia: pseudo Russia and Anglo puppet. Etc.
Besides, Russia does not really have borders in the sense in which small meaningless countries have borders.
