I don't like violence. I live in Brazil and here is one of the Earth's hotspot for violence, God, I only wished to be a Veterinarian living in the countryside and only taking care of cows and horses but as someone for a really bad upbringing... that was impossible.
I don't know what will happen with me from here aside homelessness if I don't find a job next two weeks.

I reset the trip-odometer on my car. Keeps track of my miles-per-gallon. Starting from zero, with a small sample size, I drove home from work with a lot of coasting and minimal breaking. Hit a peak of 27.4 mph. Can't maintain that though. Just idling in my driveway this morning dropped it under 25. It should level off between 22-23.
>>23435In a just world, the unsafe coworker would be the one without a job. I'm not usually a fan of strict rules, but anyone in blue-collar work who- either through incompetence or laziness- puts someone in danger should be fired on the spot. We're willing to sweat for dollars, doesn't mean we want to die for them.

Yesterday I had a really bad time I feel like but I worked on some translations and then I also played some Company of Heroes 2 with friends. It's peak historical experience because I have a German guy screaming at me for making the worst possible tanks leading to our mutual destruction at the hands of an overwhelming enemy force.
Wrote an email to a foreign university requesting a file from their database. I wish I had the entire book not just this one part of it though. Seems relevant to my research but it's expensive and out of print.
I might just keep requesting parts of it from the database until I can piece it together but this one should be enough for now.
Today I woke up okay-ish. I went out into the garden and planted some flowers and took out the teaplant so that it's in the open instead of my room.
But mostly I just focused on cleaning out the summer "basecamp". Yet again my father spent the entire winter just dumping random shit in the garden so the mess is insane.
I filled in a giant hole one of the dogs dug and put away a bunch of planks and also scrubbed the paths clean.
In the end I think I managed to set up a relatively pleasant place for outside studying yet again, even though I got pretty tired.
Also cleaned up the room a bit.
I baked some rosemary bread again. It wasn't nearly as good as the stuff they had in Italy and that makes me so disappointed. It's probably the heat. Or I did not fold it enough times. Maybe both.
Did another playtrough of the ENA game. Had a friend "supervise" it because he knows the thing inside out after maniacally playing it through multiple times. If anything, it was odd to see how where I was suspecting secrets, there were none, and I routinely glanced over some stuff.
Then we played some more Company of Heroes.
It was a pretty good day all things considered.

I was quite depressed and lay in bed all day. I was hallucinating as well.
I took medication that I don't like taking because it makes me feel very uncomfortable (I especially hate taking it when I have no symptoms) - but when I take it greatly improves mood and psychotic symptoms.
Caffeine gives me much more energy, but the energy is uncontrollable. My sleep schedule is a game of Simon.
Time to catch up on 4 weeks worth of work.

Weather was nice today and I took advantage by cutting back our overgrown bushes. Wanted to get it done while they were still dormant. Looks much better and hopefully my neighbor will appreciate it. She's a garden person. A variety of carefully maintained plants and beds. Even tucks some under blankets for the winter.

What if one could use his depression as a starting point to achieving pure rationality through something like IDIC? You don't feel anything anymore anyway, so why not make use of it?
And unlike autists and assburgers who don't deal with regular people's feelings you have the advantage of actually being able to understand them.
No.23531
>>23508>I don't know what will happen to me nowDon't worry about the big picture, just try to do the next right thing. Whatever that may be in your situation, and however small the step. Then, when that is done, figure out the next-next right thing to do.
>>23523When you're depressed, everything seems meaningless. Making use of that state of mind to initiate change requires that the change have some ultimate meaning. It may, but when you're depressed you can't see that. It's a circular trap.

Wasted most of the day in VC, listening to some soylennial TV show in German. It's honestly amazing how dogshit TV is. And how it's still better than it was 15 years ago.
But I finished two tasks for a seminar and I also wrote the book review I had to write. Honestly surprised by the progress.
I slept terribly. Went back to sleep. Completely enervated. Didn't have lunch. I just had toast and cheese once in the afternoon.
I've decided that even if I have nothing to do and money is scarce, I will just go out and eat something tomorrow.

Thought about going to a local whore, stalked her, found her TikTok. Lotta videos about aquariums, video of her taking apart an aquarium pump. Which is OK, whores can be into aquariums. Video of her removing rocks from her protector's garden. Her form is terrible, my back hurts from watching. I mean, I get that the relationship between whores and pimps is not exactly one of mutual respect and care, but come on, does he want to give her herniated discs or what? What would he get out of that?
Also, I am disappointed. The pimp looks straight like a soycuck-meme, complete with receding hairline and badly groomed beard, lol.

Foreigners of /int/, I want to ask you something:
What would you say are the defining physiognomial traits of Germans? Something that makes you say "this is a German (or Austrian)" when seeing them in a picture?
I am asking because I just found a thread in a british forum about people showing their faces, and while it's a british forum with mainly british faces (some REALLY stereotypical bongs), there were also a few Germans that were immediately identifiable as such just from the pictures, but I just couldn't make out why exactly. How does a German "look"?
No.23660
>>23659According to my experience in playing Ethnoguesser (I score more than all of my friends btw),..
In general there isn't a single "German look", it's several phenotypes which aren't defined by borders of Germany and Austria. Instead of applying formal criteria (rectangularness of face and so on), it's better to compare photo to the Germans you know (celebrities or IRL people).
No.23662
>>23659Not a good ethnoguesser, but
>>23660 pic 3 is what I would consider a stereotypical German face. If I had to describe? Rectangular with wide cheekbones and eyes which are slightly undersized but not to the point of being beady.
No.23663
>>23662Aside from the features you mentioned, a slight fleshiness of the nose on an otherwise healthy frame is characteristically German. Possibly related to beer consumption or Judish admixture.

1000€ is what I spend after rent and other overhead is paid and some saving and etf invests are made.

How much do you pay for your car every month?
No.23716
>>23709>Where do you liveSomewhere rural. Rent (including utilities) is 530€/month.
>How much do you pay for your car every month?I calculate with a 140€/month deduction on car value, 50€ on fuel, 50€ on insurance, 100€ on maintenance.
This leaves me at 250€ to spend per month. That's twice my spendings from ten years back, but that's inflation. I eat lots of oatmeal, legumes, rice and vegetables. No meat, no dairy.

No.23726
>>23716Rent including utilities is close to 800€/month and I have a cheap apartment tbh.
I use the best thing a government could do in the last years, the D-Ticket for 58€ and spend about 40-60€/month in car sharing depending on how often a month I get back from my gf during weeknights to be independent of the night bus timetable.
So I assume you have a decent job and thus have a lot of savings, what are you doing with those savings? Do you want an early retirement or what is the plan?
