future German chancellor Merz spoke out against abortions in public.

Women are outraged and think they can pressure men into not voting for Merz's party by going "then there will be no more casual sex".

They honestly do not even grasp that they have casual sex with an absolute minority of men, even when restricted to the 20-25 demographic.

It's ridiculous how dumb women are.

 No.20633

I'm pro-abortion. Aborted children would just grow up to be welfare-dependent scum, petty-criminals, etc.

We should have post-natal abortion as a mode of punishment, and headmasters and parents should be allowed to pass it to every child they want to make an example of. The world would be a much better place if little shits would be killed before they can become big shits, and witnessing the late abortion of their ill-behaved class mates would put the fear of God into children.

> The current Minister of Economy and Vice-Chancellor of Germany Robert Habeck (The Greens) not only had a bright start to the election campaign, but has already managed to come under the spotlight of international attention. In particular, a heated debate about the dictatorial tendencies of the Greens and the limits of freedom of speech was caused (https://www.welt.de/politik/deutschland/plus254531662/Schwachkopf-Meme-zu-Habeck-Dann-kommt-die-Polizei-zur-Hausdurchsuchung.html) by the criminal prosecution of a 64-year-old resident of Bavaria, who reposted several memes criticizing the government and Habeck personally. The consequences were unexpectedly harsh: at 6 a.m., investigators raided the man's house, conducted a search, seized his tablet and interrogated the pensioner in the presence of his daughter with Down syndrome. The Bamberg public prosecutor's office confirmed (https://www.nius.de/politik/news/staatsanwaltschaft-bestaetigt-offiziell-wohnungsdurchsuchung-erfolgte-wegen-des-begriffs-schwachkopf-ueber-habeck/6e998d67-d258-4cd0-95a5-95c83ee54d07) that the initiator of the insult lawsuit was Habeck himself.

> The insult charge is based on a meme in which a bust of Robert Habeck is stylized as the Schwarzkopf logo, but the point is in the play on words: the caption reads "Schwachkopf PROFESSIONAL" (German for "professional idiot"). In addition, the Bavarian is facing (https://apollo-news.net/staatsanwaltschaft-bestaetigt-razzia-nur-wegen-schwachkopf-und-ermittelt-zusaetzlich-wegen-volksverhetzung/) a charge of inciting hatred, because he compared the boycott campaign (https://t.me/bundeskanzlerRU/1316) of the yoghurt manufacturer Müllermilch, which supported the AfD, with calls “not to buy from Jews” during the heyday of National Socialism. This is not the first time (https://t.me/bundeskanzlerRU/1570) that citizens have been persecuted for criticizing politicians, and two ministers from the Greens, Robert Habeck and Annalena Baerbock, have filed (https://apollo-news.net/gegen-hass-gruenes-ministerduo-stellte-1-300-strafanzeigen-ueber-ihre-ministerien/) more than 1,300 criminal complaints for insults.

>doesn't this strike Germans as something beneath an elected official?
For as much as the schizo is screeching: It's the greens after all, and especially the current government is the worst one the Germans had for 80 years, so it's not surprising. They are blaming the uptick in insults on le ebul nazis with the subtle and clever propaganda, and not on people being legitimately fed up with them ruining everything as hard as they can. Personally, I think it's important for politicians to understand that they are not beyond accountability and that they CAN be apprehended if necessary. I hope it puts at least a bit of humility in some of them.

The other, more sinister side here is that under the guise of "the internet is not outlaw space" and "anti hate speech" laws - which are left intentionally vague - they are building (or rather, have built) a very effective censorship apparatus, and because it's against "nazis", people are ok with it.
But since they are so short-sighted they can't even fathom what will happen when those "nazis" actually manage to seize power. I really don't want the AfD to rule this country because they would just change the direction of retardation, but on the other hand, I really want them to taste their own medicine.
This goes hand in hand with a progressive de-democratization set up exactly by the ruling parties while proclaiming they are protecting the democracy (like certain laws, for example one that can essentially rob direct candidates of their mandate if they aren't part of a party).

All these points I am merely mentioning and treating on a surface level, but there is so much more fucked up stuff going on that it would take several walls of text going into detail. I should stop now, but the leftist german will probably make some snarky, clever comment or silly whataboutism.

The German penal code contains a crime called "insult". (§185 StGB).

>>20669
The worst thing about this government is that there is 0 consistency. Subsidies for something today, additional taxes levied on it tomorrow. Legal today, illegal tomorrow, and the other way round. Measures announced, measures not implemented, because the parliament is busy debating some far-reaching surprise law which will then be implemented, in a weakened form, then taken back.

Unfortunately that's only a more extreme form of what we saw since about the late 1990s. Red/green government decides to end nuclear power. Black/yellow government decides to continue. Fukushima happens, black/red government decides to end nuclear power and switches of half the fleet immediately, instead, Germany buys more Russian gas, then there's diplomatic fall-out with Russia, and the black now party decides we need more npps. Which might very well be a rational point of view, but how long are they going to stick with it? During the time it takes to built a nuclear power plant, Germany changes its opinion on nuclear power two to five times, and if a future German government decides to built npps, we can just hope that we're at an even number of flip-flops when they are completed so they won't be a complete waste.

In 2013, we wanted fewer refugees. Some Lebanese girl cried on public television, Merkel was declared a big old meany because she had made the refugee girl cry, and then we needed more refugees, and all of Europe needed more, open the doors as wide as possible, come, you Syrians doctors and engineers, even if you are pitch-black and illiterate.

The list could be continued.

...only talks about the sentencing, not about what constitutes an "insult" in the sense of the penalty code.
And calling some rando on the street an asshole is very much different than calling a politician (a public figure) an asshole. One could argue that they are using their power to silence dissidence and that a public figure, especially when making unpopular decisions, should be able to deal with and expecting such comments. Next, there is still the freedom of arts and such.
Also, and this is very funny:
>Die Kundgabe setzt voraus, dass die Geringschätzung von einer anderen Person zur Kenntnis genommen wird.[45]
So that means that someone is reading the comments to get offended.
What's even funnier is that if there are precedences set and someone calls e.g. a politician of a party that is opposing the current government a "nazi pig" that this is as much an insult as calling an idiot who happens to be a minister an idiot.

tl;dr: It's complicated and especially with something as wobbly as "insult" there is much room for abuse (by the plaintiff).

You are contradicting yourself here, because I exactly did not argue against anything, but merely clarified. So no, there was not even remotely any kind of strawman going on (plus, your defintion is rather unprecise because it lacks the information that I would have to invent that non-existing argument first AND impute it to you).

We also legislation against insulting someone but there's an understanding that public figures are held to a different standard and it's unheard of for a ruling politician to activate criminal proceedings over being called an idiot. In order to suppress genuine accusations, they'll go through a very strict slandering law, but that at least requires something bigger legal hurdle than what could be considered someone's opinion.
